LAZY SUNDAY MORNING
Without looking at the notes ahead of time, I spritzed on Lazy Sunday Morning and smelled musk, sweet roses, a hint of iris that smelled waxy like old soap (and soon faded), fruit, and lily of the valley, and I see that I got the bulk of the notes right.
I think it's a nice perfume if you are into musky florals. I would put it into the same category as Chloe Intense--dewy, fresh roses and white musk. But Lazy Sunday Morning is a bit more perky due to the green lily of the valley. I'm not sure I understand the "Lazy" part about it. To me it smells bright and energetic. Roses remind me of walking in the rose gardens or maybe strolling through a open air market. Maybe a lazy stroll?
Sillage and longevity are excellent, and that is something I appreciate about it. So far, I really like this house and find their perfumes to be easy to like.

LIPSTICK ON
I love Iris Ganache. There will never be another one like it, but it got me into looking for powdery violet & iris perfumes with a creamy vanillic base. Lipstick On is a good one! You get that beautiful orris powder note at first, very chalky, reminiscent of Chanel's 28 La Pausa. The waxy, vintage cosmetics scent.
The drydown comes fairly quickly and is a gorgeous mix of raspberry bon bons, violet pastilles, and creamy vanilla. At times I think it's raspberry; at other times it's more like sweet cherry. In any case, it smells delectable and delightful.
At times I wish the top notes would last throughout the entire perfume, but I remembered that for that type of scent, the newest version of Rive Gauche, which is now stripped of any former chypre qualities, leaving only wax and powder behind, fits the bill perfectly.
Lipstick On is just so French chic! Perhaps the nose meant to take us back to 1950's cosmetics, but on the whole, this perfume brings me back to fond memories of carefree days in Paris. I picture a handsome Parisian man falling to his knees as I walk by, my perfume lingering in the air. He grabs my hand and serenades me: "Et si tu n'existais pas, dis-moi pourquoi j'existerais...."
