BLACK JADE
This has got to be the most incredible French perfume I've ever smelled. It might actually rival my precious CHANEL No. 5 in my eyes. It's exactly the kind of perfume I love--SweetnSpicy! I smell a ton of bright, acidic bergamot supported by fragrant green cardamom pods. Then comes a bouquet of magenta roses flanked by a heady dose of spring-fresh jasmine. I smell just a touch of cinnamon about an hour after I spray (it develops over time)...sooo beautiful!
I know people can wear whatever they want, but this perfume is SWEET, so I would only recommend it for men if they are the adventurous type.
O, Black Jade, thou Goddess of French perfumery, I kneel before thee!

KORRIGAN
Korrigan is fascinating and one of the nuttiest perfumes I have encountered to date. Korrigan is a different kind of nutty; not like almond or pistachio. It starts out coconutty. I wasn't sure if I was smelling coconut or the creaminess that I associate with perfumes containing sandalwood. The coconutty quality soon mellows into something more like a soft nut, such as chestnuts or acorns (it turns out to be beech nut). Combined with smooth black leather, herbs, and a sweet liquor of some kind, Korrigan smells decadent.
The heart consists of a luscious milky-boozy accord that reminds me of buttered rum with a splash of cream. I don't know if that would taste good in real life, but it sounds yummy. Korrigan would be the perfect choice during the holiday season if one does not want to smell like a spice cake or pine trees.
I happened to look at Lubin's website while writing this review, and I see my nose is quite accurate. They describe Korrigan as "Caramel Wood Liqueur," and that is surely how it smells, summed up in three words. Delicious as it sounds, don't forget the dark woods! The oud and leather combo provides a streak of something sinister, just like the naughty little korrigans (leprechaun-like creatures) that this perfume is named after
